I was scammed by a Tunisian who while living with me in the UK, divorced me in Tunisia without my knowledge.

He left for a holiday in Tunisia July 09 and married a Tunisian woman 11 day later.

He has left me financially and emotionally broken an I am still pursuing getting my property back in Tunisia.

Despite proving he divorced me illegally and fraudulent extraction of money by the Tunisian court and given a 3 year suspended sentence, the British authorities have failed so far to revoke his Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) and deport him.

He also managed to bring his Tunisian wife into the UK, despite my warning the British Embassy in Tunis.

I would urge all victims of marriage fraud to join Immigration Marriage Fraud UK for support and advice.

  • John Brookes says:

It is the immigrants who use FAKE MARRIAGES to get around the immigration laws that shouild be dealt with in a firm way. Many people have been used by foriegn women and men, to gain citizenship, then after achieving their purpose, they leave the marriage and the devastation they cause and go their own way, and with the support of the social security system. Then the poor sod who trusted them is left bereft. with no remedy or legal method to fight back. I LOST EVERYTHING INCLUDING MY ONLY CHILD.
